     Currently, seeking new theatrical/film and musical projects, Tim Butler is a graduate of the illustrious Bridge Training Program of Actors, Models & Talent for Christ (AMTC) which has produced the likes of T.C. Stallings (The War Room), Ser’Darius Blain (Charmed – 2018; Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Austen Williams (Mrs. America 2014), and Abbie Cobb (Mom’s Night Out).  Spotted for his commanding stage presence and commercial appeal, Tim was hand selected by renowned casting director Barry Shapiro (L’Oreal, Verizon, ESPN, Pepsi) as one of his top 3 from over 500 actors to film an onsite mock commercial for Shapiro’s on-camera teaching platform.  Tim has also been noticed for his print work with celebrity photographer Leo Marshall (Rolling Stone, Upscale, Playboy) and others, receiving praise as second runner-up for Best Overall Lifestyle Model at AMTC’s Winter Shine 2016. 

     A burgeoning writer, Tim has written and directed three original stage productions that have premiered to audiences with standing room only.  Moreover, Tim and college classmate, lauded neo soul artist Kenny Wesley, collaborated their talents to place 4th nationwide in a theme song writing competition for ABC’s The View resulting in the song being aired on the show.  Gracing the small screen, Tim was featured ciphering an original monologue live on the “ORU Alive” broadcast on Golden Eagle Broadcasting (Tulsa, OK) receiving a standing ovation for his unique performance as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Additionally, Tim has written creative prose as part of the marketing team for the certified platinum album “Out the Box” for former gospel megastar Tonex (now known by the moniker B Slade), debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album Chart garnering a Grammy nomination and 6 Stellar Awards including Artist of the Year.  

 

     A soaring dramatic tenor with an expansive multi-octave range and strong falsetto, Tim has studied classical voice under the tutelage of noted vocal coach Andrea Thornock at the Follow Your Dream Vocal Lyceum in Burke, VA and vocal performance at the Victory Bible College School of Worship (Tulsa, OK) under instructors Dawn Wiles, Ryan Eason, Samuel Muhumuza, and Michelle Wagner.  Tim has lent his voice most recently to perform voice-acting for Victory Productions’ Masterpiece: The Finished Work, one of the largest faith-based theatrical productions in the state of Oklahoma.  Akin to this, Tim was previously cast as the Prophet Isaiah in Victory Productions’ first musical The Story of Christmas as well as in the filming of their reenactment of the Last Supper in Risen (2013) under the oversight of Director Ryan Stafford (The Masterpiece…A Toymaker’s Dream).  Additionally, Tim also appeared in Victory Productions’ Believe (2012) along with Brian Nhira from NBC’s The Voice.   An amazing dancer noted for his freestyle hip hop, modern, and step routines, Tim studied both African and modern dance as a non-major with the Howard University Dance Department and has danced with choreographers Adam and Shayna Acosta of Legacy Dance Studios (Tulsa, OK) and Chris Nored (Hanson/Nehemiah Abkar/Tulsa Shock).
